The little egret is a permanent resident of Alanya’s tourist coastline. I observed it over the course of two years — it would let me get very close if I crawled. But the real problem was different: a crawling photographer attracts curious tourists, who constantly approach and cause the bird to fly off to another spot. Sunsets are another hallmark of Alanya, and I was lucky to capture a hunting scene backlit by the golden evening sun!

I have been passionate about wildlife photography for about eight years. Most of my photographs were taken in my native Belarus, but recently I moved and am now looking for new places to shoot in other countries. I enjoy both "stalking" photography and sitting in a hide, observing wildlife without interfering with their world with my presence.
