As I wanted to head home in the evening after a long day of photography in mid October, I noticed this barn swallow sitting on a guatdrail next to the street. Cars were driving by very close and at high speeds but the swallow seemed to not care. Having a closer look, it seemed like it had injured its wing. I believe this young individual was left behind by its fellow swallows as it was the only swallow I had seen in weeks. With my photo I wanted to showcase the harsh condotions of migration.
