Wrapped in gorgeous spring colors, the western yellow wagtail is in its breeding habitat! An uncultivated field of poppies, daisies, and chamomile flowers provides the perfect environment for both nesting and hunting the insects that the western yellow wagtail feeds on. The image was created using a camouflage net to hide me in the field, a lot of patience but there were plenty of opportunities to take pictures.

Massimiliano Manuel Paolino
Born as a hiker and mountaineer, I have developed over time a deep love for nature photography. I work mainly in the Alps mountains but I also frequent river, hill and maritime environments. In recent years, aware of the extreme sensitivity of wild animals, I have been developing photographic techniques using wide angles lens and remote shutter. It's a technique that requires a lot of patience, but I put the welfare of wild animals before any personal ambitions.
I work with Nikon d5 equipment, I live in Monza and I love the extreme weather conditions how snowstorms and rainstorms.
