  At 4am, deep in the jungle of Calakmul, I ventured out to capture the first light of day when the birdlife is most active and the air is still cool. As the sunlight pierced through the canopy, I was drawn to the stunning iridescence of the Ocellated Turkey’s feathers, their intricate textures coming to life in the golden light. The delicate patterns and striking details of its plumage became my focus, resulting in this unique image.
