Dawn Awakening

  • Where was the image taken?
    Shiraz-Iran
  • Story of the image

It was very early in the morning. The day before, I had driven 500 kilometers from my hometown to this place. I spent the night sleeping in my car near the lake. At dawn, we flew over Maharloo Lake in central Iran using a very simple glider. It was my first flight of this kind, and I felt unwell. I had hoped to finally see the migratory flamingos. I finally achieved my goal. With the sun's first rays casting a golden hue, the flamingos stirred, signaling the start of a new day.
