At the edge of the coniferous forest, the presence of some fallen pine cones on the ground, represents a good opportunity for survival during the Alpine winter. In the image, a fight without holds barred, it happens precisely for a reason of survival, where two Eurasian nutcrackers face each other with claws. The photo was taken thanks to a hole in the snow thus having a shooting point that allows to further emphasize this amazing battle.

Born as a hiker and mountaineer, I have developed over time a deep love for nature photography. I work mainly in the Alps mountains but I also frequent river, hill and maritime environments. In recent years, aware of the extreme sensitivity of wild animals, I have been developing photographic techniques using wide angles lens and remote shutter. It's a technique that requires a lot of patience, but I put the welfare of wild animals before any personal ambitions.
I work with Nikon d5 equipment, I live in Monza and I love the extreme weather conditions how snowstorms and rainstorms.
