After months filming wintering bald eagles in Squamish, BC, while studying their behaviour and enduring sub-zero mornings, this was the moment it all came together. On a particular cold morning I had been sat quietly watching several mature adults adults scanning the waters for fish in the shallows. Until now there had been little action to report before out of nowhere a large bird flew in from a nearby perch, wings stretched out, breaks on, landing moments later right in front of my camera.
