It was my first time biking with waders, hoping to find a good spot to photograph a great bittern. While exploring, I heard a red-necked grebe—I knew they lived there—but was surprised to find them out on open water. I waded in, water up to my belly, camera in hand and a stick for checking depth. The grebes weren’t shy, just curious. They swam around, called, dove, and even mated. It wasn’t my first close encounter with these bold birds, but it was the most memorable.

I am a 18-year-old photographer from the heart of Poland. I began my photography journey in 2019, focusing primarily on capturing the beauty of animals, especially birds. My photography focuses on using light as an artistic feature, although I also really enjoy capturing moments where backstory and experience play a bigger role.
