The extreme temperatures of the Alpine winter, combined with the heavy snowfall during the period when I was in Switzerland, represented for every living organism a time space of extreme difficulty. After having created a snow hole, I hid inside it and covered myself with a white bed linen. I was looking for a very particular perspective at the edge of the coniferous forest. The image is deliberately overexposed to bring out the silhouette of the nutcrackers.

Born as a hiker and mountaineer, I have developed over time a deep love for nature photography. I work mainly in the Alps mountains but I also frequent river, hill and maritime environments. In recent years, aware of the extreme sensitivity of wild animals, I have been developing photographic techniques using wide angles lens and remote shutter. It's a technique that requires a lot of patience, but I put the welfare of wild animals before any personal ambitions.
I work with Nikon d5 equipment, I live in Monza and I love the extreme weather conditions how snowstorms and rainstorms.
