  After years of observing this owl’s roost in an ancient Mughal garden, I finally captured one perched at the edge of its hole, staring directly at me. Its eyes are remarkable—the background appears dreamy. Home to 2 owls, this curious one often keeps watch. I approached carefully from behind a tree to create background separation, took a few frames, and left quietly—grateful for this brief, intimate encounter.
