  This photograph was captured at Yala National Park, Sri Lanka. I was in a safari jeep, scanning the surroundings for wild birds around 2:00 PM when I noticed a Brown Fish Owl perched near a tree den. I immediately asked my safari driver to stop the jeep.
  Owls are among my favorite birds to photograph, so we spent a good amount of time observing this one. It was calmly resting on a branch, and after a while, it moved into the den and briefly peeked out—giving me the perfect opportunity to captur
