A pair of Southern Carmine Bee-eaters

  • Where was the image taken?
    Zimbe river in Botswana
  • The bird in the photo
  • Story of the image

We were cruising on Zimbe river, there were hundreds of bee-eaters trying to make nests along the bank of the river.
This photo was taken in the morning from the boat, no hide was used.
Took about 1 hour to make this shot.
This beautiful bird was on my bucket list, I was happy to finally find it.
