  This photo was taken close to the sunset time in April 2025 when the Northern Pygmy owls are active for mating. The female bird was calling for a while, then the male came landed on the same branch, mated and flew away. They were in the open area, I was lucky enough to be on the hill crossed from the tree. No hide used, just patiently waiting.
  Over the years, I always wanted to photograph a pair of Northern Pygmy owls in love, finally I got it.
