  On a frosty January day, I went for a walk to our local river (Yuryuzan city, Chelyabinsk region) to watch the wintering birds. On this walk I was lucky enough to meet a dipper. The bird was sitting on the opposite shore, fluffing its feathers, which made it look like a balloon. She was probably warming up after her last dive.

  Four years ago, during lockdown, I decided to take up nature photography. I bought myself a simple camera with a large zoom and started going out for walks in search of birds. The first ones that caught my attention were the waxwings, as they are very bright and beautiful. Then I wondered what other birds I could find and photograph in my city. I went to the forest, to the river, to the fields, and began to study the behavior of birds and their songs. It fascinated me very much and I have been photographing birds for four years now.
