The Hall of Giants at the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden will host the award ceremony on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 AM for the 2024 Bird Photographer of the Year competition. Here, we will reveal the winners of the category awards, special prizes, and the grand titles: Birdo Bird Photographer of the Year, Birdo Young Bird Photographer of the Year, and Birdo Bird Photo of the Year.
This eagerly awaited event follows a competitive selection process, in which 506 entries advanced to the second round after the jury’s initial review. From these, 48 shortlisted photos will be awarded, with the winners discovering their exact prizes during the ceremony.

The event will be live-streamed on our Facebook page with English interpretation, and in Hungarian on our YouTube channel, allowing everyone—including those without personal invitations—to attend virtually.

We hope this brings joy to many participants. The bird photography community, as we have experienced, is a supportive and collaborative group, eager to celebrate one another’s successes and enjoy each other’s work. Each photograph offers a learning experience and adds to the collective knowledge of bird photography.
