The submission period closes at midnight (GMT+1) on May 17. Based on past experience, we usually receive a flood of entries in the final two days—often more than during the entire earlier phase of the competition.
It’s great to see such strong interest! That said, with so many uploads coming in at once, the approval process might be a bit slower than usual during this peak period.
Rest assured, all photos submitted before the deadline will be accepted as long as they meet the competition criteria. During these last two days, our top priority will be to notify photographers if a submission clearly doesn’t meet the requirements—giving them a chance to upload a replacement. Publishing approved photos may take a bit longer and will be a secondary concern.
We’ll keep reviewing and publishing photos continuously, but we can’t guarantee that every photo submitted right before the deadline will be visible on the site by midnight.
Each upload is time-stamped at the moment of submission, and that timestamp is what matters for the competition.
Good luck with your entry! To ensure smooth processing, it’s best not to wait until the last minute.
