    It was an overcast afternoon with intermittent showers as I watched a Australian Brush-turkey preening her tail feathers. I liked the low key effect of the dark background with the black feathers of the bird with just enough detail to see the feathers as the bird stops mid-stream in preening to look at me. I spent quite awhile watching these birds and settled on watching this one as there were no other birds or distractions.
