Usually, little bustards do not nest in Georgia. However, every few years, local ornithologists spot solitary displaying males as late as August. This year, I was lucky enough to encounter one near a rarely used road. Most likely he will never meet female this year, but he does his best. I got the bustard accustomed to my car so that it wouldn't be too afraid, and on the day of the shoot early in the morning, I got out and photographed it from underneath the car.
